The EMC Developers Program enables ZANTAZ® to take advantage of the power and range of EMC's enterprise information storage solutions for Symmetrix, CLARiiON, Celerra, and Centera™ —as well as the WideSky™ Developers Suite™. The EMC Developers Program is the program by which all EMC APIs are made available to partners for technical integration with EMC products and technology.

WideSky is EMC's storage management middleware designed to provide a common access mechanism for managing heterogeneous environments: storage, networking connectivity elements, and storage resource mapping systems. WideSky acts as the "universal translator" within a heterogeneous storage environment enabling applications and storage to communicate with minimal effort. ISVs, like ZANTAZ®, can now focus development efforts on high-impact applications with storage intelligence and automation.

By integrating our solutions with EMC's application programming interfaces (APIs) and command line interfaces (CLIs), including the new WideSky Storage Resource Management API, ZANTAZ® can provide powerful, more capable solutions to its customers and expand its market opportunities.

Network Appliance, Inc. (NetApp) is a world leader in unified storage solutions for today's data-intensive enterprise. Since its inception in 1992, Network Appliance has pioneered technology, product, and partner firsts that continue to drive the evolution of storage. NetApp® storage solutions include specialized hardware, software, and services, providing seamless storage management for open network environments.

The partnership between ZANTAZ® and NetApp provides customers with ultra fast and intelligent archival and rapid email retrieval to manage their exploding email growth for both regulatory and non-regulatory requirements. An increase in archiving speed offers our customers the ability to keep pace with the ever-increasing volume of email generated on a daily basis.

In ZANTAZ® laboratory, performance tests were conducted using a basic network set up and load balancing across four (4) Microsoft Exchange Servers. Throughput results reached archiving speeds of 280 messages per second. “The customer is really only limited by their network capacity.” Says Greg Campbell, one of ZANTAZ® Senior Software Engineers, “We tested on a fairly basic set-up. With a more robust network design, there is no telling what kind of archival rates these two solutions can achieve.”
